About MoneyExplain

Free, research-backed financial education for Indians—built on transparency, accuracy, and editorial independence.

Making Financial Literacy Accessible

MoneyExplain exists to provide clear, accurate, and accessible financial education to Indians who were never taught how money works.

Our mission is simple: explain personal finance concepts in plain language, help readers understand their options, and empower them to make informed decisions—without telling them what to do.

We believe financial literacy is a fundamental life skill, not a privilege. Every Indian deserves access to quality educational content about saving, investing, taxes, and financial planning—regardless of their income level or educational background.

ME
Founder of MoneyExplain

Why I Created MoneyExplain

I grew up without any formal financial education—like most Indians. I learned about taxes, investing, and money management through trial, error, and countless hours of research. MoneyExplain is the resource I wish I had when I was starting out.

My goal is simple: share what I've learned in a clear, honest way. No selling financial products, no affiliate-driven recommendations, no exaggerated promises. Just education.

How We Create Content

Every piece of content on MoneyExplain is created with the following principles in mind:

  • Accuracy First We verify information against official sources—RBI guidelines, SEBI regulations, Income Tax Department rules, and reputable financial institutions. When regulations change, we update our content.
  • Clarity Over Complexity Financial concepts can be explained simply without losing accuracy. We avoid unnecessary jargon and break down complex topics into understandable language.
  • Honesty About Uncertainty We acknowledge what we don't know. Markets are unpredictable. Personal circumstances vary. We present information, not predictions or guarantees.
  • Education, Not Advice MoneyExplain provides educational content, not personalized financial advice. We explain concepts and options. For advice specific to your situation, we recommend consulting a SEBI-registered investment advisor or qualified financial professional.
  • No Fear-Based Marketing We don't use scare tactics to drive engagement. Financial decisions are best made with clarity and calm—not anxiety. Our tone reflects that belief.
  • Regular Updates Tax laws change. Investment options evolve. We regularly review and update our content to ensure it remains accurate and relevant. Each article displays its last-updated date.

How We Research and Verify Information

Every article on MoneyExplain undergoes a systematic research and verification process to ensure accuracy and reliability:

  • Primary Sources First We reference official sources like RBI circulars, SEBI guidelines, government notifications, and authenticated regulatory documents whenever possible.
  • Cross-Verification Information is cross-checked against multiple reputable sources including government portals, established financial institutions, and recognized industry experts.
  • India-Specific Context Our content is researched and written specifically for the Indian context, accounting for local regulations, tax laws, and cultural financial behaviors.

Our Principles in Practice

MoneyExplain operates on fundamentally different principles than most financial content sites:

We Don't Sell Financial Products

MoneyExplain does not sell insurance, mutual funds, credit cards, or any financial product. This ensures our content remains unbiased and focused purely on education.

Education, Not Optimization

Our goal is to explain concepts clearly, not to optimize your click-through rate or time on site. Articles are as concise as they need to be—no artificial lengthening for SEO purposes.

Neutral, Evidence-Based Tone

We avoid income promises, exaggerated claims, or fear-based marketing. Every statement is backed by verifiable information from trusted sources like RBI, SEBI, and government agencies.

How This Site Is Supported

Transparency about our business model is essential to maintaining your trust. Here's exactly how MoneyExplain operates:

Advertising

MoneyExplain may display advertisements through Google AdSense. These ads are served by Google based on various factors and are clearly labeled as advertisements. Ad revenue supports the creation of free educational content. Advertisers have no influence over our editorial content.

Affiliate Relationships

As of this writing, MoneyExplain has no affiliate partnerships. We do not earn commissions for recommending financial products or services. If this changes in the future, we will clearly disclose any affiliate relationships in relevant articles and update this page.

Sponsored Content

MoneyExplain does not publish sponsored content or paid articles. All educational content is independently created. We do not accept payment from companies in exchange for coverage or favorable mentions.

Editorial Independence

Our content decisions are made independently. We choose topics based on educational value and reader needs—not advertising potential. If we mention a company, product, or service, it's because we believe the mention adds educational value, not because of any financial relationship.

Educational Content Disclaimer

MoneyExplain provides educational information only. This website does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. The content here is intended for general educational purposes.
